Racham Ministry

The primary aim of Racham Ministry is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who have never heard His name.

Racham Ministry is focused on bringing the love and compassion of Jesus Christ to the abandoned children and widows living in the slums of India. Through this ministry, the Lord will use His church to embrace the burden of the lost, sick, dying, demon possessed, and the orphans and widows.

As the Lord leads and raises up disciples,  house churches will be planted, and each house church will become a home for many abandoned children living in the slums of India.

If you would like more information about Racham Ministry, or if you would like to get involved, please send an email to Pastor John Andrews
.  We will send you email updates about our monthly prayer meetings, mission trips and how to support the work of Racham Ministry.

INDIA FACTS
CAPITOL: New Delhi
POPULATION: Estimated 1.2 Billion

What else should I know?
India became an independent country in 1947. Britain ruled India before that time. India's constitution promised freedom of religion. However, some Hindus would like India to be even more influenced by Hinduism than it is today. In recent years, radical Hindus have become more powerful. India now has seven states with anti-conversion laws banning unregistered or “unethical” religious conversions -- to the glee of Hindu extremists who arbitrarily invoke them to squash Christian growth. Christians in many places in India are mistreated, persecuted and are even killed because of their faith in Jesus Christ. The persecutors know they are less likely to get prosecuted or punished where radical Hindus are in power.

LANGUAGES
Most countries have one or two official languages. India has many, including Hindi, English, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Oriya, Punjabi, Assamese, Kashmiri, Sindhi, and Sanskrit. Hindustani, a mixture of Hindi and Urdu, is also popular. Hundreds of other languages are spoken in India. Some groups of Indians have heard very little, if anything, about the Good News of Jesus. Many of them DO NOT have Bibles because the Bible  has not been translated into their language.

MAHARASHTRA
CAPITOL:  Mumbai
Mumbai generates 1/3 GDP and is home to India's stock exchange.
Mumbai has a reputation for crime.
Mumbai is the home to Asia's largest slum with over 1 million people - over 100,000 of them are street children. These children face child   prostitution, slave labor & human sacrifice.

PUNE - The second largest city in Maharashtra
POPULATION:  5 Million people
40% live in slums, most of them are children.*
PUNE is the city where Racham Ministry will begin the work of the Lord.

*Percentages are approximate

How then shall they call on Him
in Whom they have not believed?
And how shall they believe in Him
of Whom they have not heard?
And how shall they hear
without a preacher?
And how shall they preach
unless they are sent?

As it is written:
How beautiful are the feet of those
who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things
!”
-Romans 10:14-15

How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!

Romans 10:14-15
